Mrs. Maxie Lou Glover Rasco’s Memorial and Home Going was a precious tribute to her life and legacy of love and service. Family and friends expressed their love, appreciation and farewell to her during the March 6th service at the W. F. Mapp Funeral Home.  Rev. Sheldon Thomas officiated and delivered her eulogy. Ms.

We are sorry to learn of the transition of Forest Housing Authority Executive Director Maxie Glover Rasco who died Friday, February 28th at the MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson.  Memorial services arrangements  are incomplete. Local congregations celebrate their pastors’ anniversaries

Our prayers are with the family of Mr. Junior Mack Burkes who transitioned Friday, February 7th in Starkville. Mr. Burkes, the son of Mrs. Hattie Hughes and brother of Albert Allen, was a graduate of E. T. Hawkins (class of 1965) and  Alcorn University (1969) where he was a member of the track team.
