Mrs. Dorothy Strong will serve as Marshal for 23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Walk

We are sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. Mae Ruth Robinson who transitioned Thursday, January 9th, just 16 days short of her 95th birthday. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 15th at 11:00 at Little Rock Church. Our prayers are with her children, Ollie, W. C. (Barbara), Otto, Jimmy (Sandra), Mary Ann Brown, and Mosie Wash.





Community residents continue to Celebrate Advent and prepare for Christmas

Our community is saddened by the death of retired educator Mrs. Juanita Odom Banks who transitioned Sunday night in Brandon. Mrs. Banks inspired many including students, colleagues, and her neighbors. She dedicated more than 30 years to the students at Midway, North Scott and Scott Central Attendance Center.

Our community is saddened by the tragic death of William Lamond “Honey Bun” Sturkin, son of Joe Ann Pheal Pierce and William Sturkin.  Lamond, a Hattiesburg resident, was riding his motorcycle at the time of the collision Wednesday, November 20th.  Please keep his family in your prayers.  Funeral arrangements are public viewing at Holifield Fun
