We are sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. Mae Ruth Robinson who transitioned Thursday, January 9th, just 16 days short of her 95th birthday. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 15th at 11:00 at Little Rock Church. Our prayers are with her children, Ollie, W. C. (Barbara), Otto, Jimmy (Sandra), Mary Ann Brown, and Mosie Wash.

Former educator Mrs. Juanita Odom Banks received a beautiful home going celebration Saturday, December 21st at the Midway M. B. Church. Pastor Rev. Wesley Griffin officiated and delivered a moving and eloquent eulogy. Her friend and mentee, Mrs.
Our community is saddened by the death of retired educator Mrs. Juanita Odom Banks who transitioned Sunday night in Brandon. Mrs. Banks inspired many including students, colleagues, and her neighbors. She dedicated more than 30 years to the students at Midway, North Scott and Scott Central Attendance Center.
Our prayers are with Mrs. Rosie Mabry in the transition of her husband, Raymond Mabry. Mr. Mabry transitioned Tuesday, November 26th at his Lake, MS home. He retired as full Colonel with the U. S. Army Reserve and was a cattle farmer, administrator, and educator.
Our community is saddened by the tragic death of William Lamond “Honey Bun” Sturkin, son of Joe Ann Pheal Pierce and William Sturkin. Lamond, a Hattiesburg resident, was riding his motorcycle at the time of the collision Wednesday, November 20th. Please keep his family in your prayers. Our community is saddened by the death of Mr. Erbert Gomillion, Jr., father of Attorney Chris Gomillion. He transitioned November 6th and visitation was held Saturday, November 9th at Ott and Lee Funeral Home. Graveside service was held in Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
