Christmas Dinner is Sunday at Midway

Navonteque Strong played Line Backer in the Bernard Blackwell Mississippi North/South Allstar game. Had six tackles and one forced fumble. The game ended in a 0-0 tie with neither offense scoring. Congratulations Navonteque.

Carols by Candlelight

My family and I went to see “Noel, Carols by Candlelight 2018”.  The program was sponsored by the First Baptist Church Jackson. The purpose of “Carols by Candlelight” was to share the good news of God’s love for us.  It was their prayer that all glory be given to God alone.

A big shout out to Scott Central Football team who won their game against Taylorsville High School on last Saturday at Hattiesburg.  They are now the state champions in their district.

Every vote counts!

There will be a runoff between Mike Espy and Cindy Hyde Smith on November 27th. Each person is asked to go to their precinct and vote for the candidate of their choice. Remember every vote counts. The courthouse will be open for absentee voting on November 24th from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Fill up the bleachers and support the team

Congratulation to Scott Central Football team who won their game against Bruce on last Friday Night.  The score was 55-6 Midway is proud of all of its coaches especially of, Deacon Tevin Nickols and some players, Dejerrious Black and Zaharrie Kincaid.

Fall Festivals are on tap this weekend

Do not forget to go and vote for the candidate of your choice on November 6.  If you cannot make it to your precinct polls the courthouse will be open for the next two Saturdays so you can vote an absentee ballot.
