Announcements: Bettye Mae Jack Middle School, Morton will be hosting Veterans Day Activities on Thursday, November 14 at 9 a.m. Lt. Col. Anthony (Tony) Morgan the Commander of the 204th Air Defense Artillery regiment will be the guest speaker.  All veterans are invited to be honored on this occasion.

Announcements: We Care Missions Food Distribution will be held on Friday, October 24 at Fellowship Hall of Morton United Methodist Church, 29 Church Street, from 10 a.m.-12 noon.

Announcements: Excel Learning Center needs volunteer members of the Morton trade area to deliver meals to the seniors/shut ins.  Ten meals are provided by the Scott Regional Hospital for five days a week, Monday-Friday.  With the present number of volunteers ideally each member/ team only needs to deliver meals once a month.

Announcements: Exciting news is out for the upcoming Wing Dang Doodle Festival on Saturday, September 28th with the announcement that entertainment for the 16th annual event will showcase local talent to entertain those present.

Announcements: Reports from the Morton Public Library’s Silent Auction Fundraiser indicates that approximately $1,000 dollars were acquired through the generous donation of auction items and bids.  There are still some desirable items available, for bids, on display there.  Drop by and view those remaining...perhaps make a bid.

Announcements: Friends of Morton Library wish to express appreciation to all individuals, businesses, artists and craftsmen who so graciously donated/provided items for the Silent Auction Fundraiser.  At a later date the amount raised and the winners of the donated Gift Certificates will be revealed.
