Lake upsets E. Union moves on

The Lake Hornets enetered the 2018 2A football playoffs with a tough draw that matched them against Region 1 No.1 seed East Union. The Hornets had to travel to Blue Springs to take on the homestanding and higher seeded Urchins, but after the game started you would have never known that East Union was the higher seed by the play on the field.





New drama at LHS offers students new opportunities

The new drama going on at Lake High School is not that of the bad variety it is actually a chance for students to learn about theater and show off their acting skills. The students at LHS now have the opportunity to take a theater class as an elective in their course curriculum because of the push of LHS teacher Jessica Price.







For Forest’s Beverly Rhodes Mensa has been 30 years of enjoyment

Becoming a member of Mensa is a daunting task as you must score in the top two percent (98th percentile) of the general population on the organization’s IQ test to gain membership. To most of the individuals who ultimately make the score it has been a fulfilling fellowship where like-minded people have the opportunity to come together.
