The Scott County Branch NAACP will meet Saturday, March 23rd at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Midway Freewill Baptist Church. All are welcome to attend.

Sherman Hill U.M. Church, Lake, will be hosting Family and Friends Weekend on March 9-10. Sat. from 10 a.m. until picnic, bring lawn chairs. Sun. morning worship 11 a.m. Pastor Calvin Lindsey of St. Mark M.B. Chruch will bring the 1:00 service.

Green Grove United Methodist Church located at 1689 Norris-Homewood Rd., Lake, will hold their Black History Program on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 1:30 p.m. the guest speaker will be Attorney Katrina Gibbs. She currently serves as Municipal Court Judge in Rankin County and was the first African-American appointed to the position.
