Sheriff’s Department hopes to return stolen property to owners
A Scott County man was arrested last week on alleged charges of Trafficking in Controlled Substance and Receiving Stolen Property. Jerry Allen Taylor, of 5297 Highway 35 North, was being held on a $100,000 bond after Scott County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigators and Narcotics Investigators served a search warrant on his residence January 10.
Numerous stolen items such as power tools and power equipment were recovered and a significant amount of methamphetamine was also seized from the residence.
The sheriff’s department said that if anyone has recently had any power tools or power equipment stolen, contact their office at 601-469-1511 to see if any of the equipment recovered can be returned to the rightful owner.
