Granny Pood Says..
Good Morning/ vening!
“Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Rev. 3:20 (NKJV)
This scripture gives an image of Jesus standing outside a church, (our hearts), offering fellowship to anyone who will let Him in. He desires fellowship with us, not just on Communion Day. I read a story of a woman known as Granny Pood ( she was an old saint), she was walking down the road and the pastor walked with her. He asked where she was going, she said she was on her way to visit another woman who was old and poor and that she would probably stay to have tea with her. The pastor knew the other woman and without thinking, said, “I do not think you will find much tea there.” When Granny heard his words, she reached under her shawl and pulled out a little paper package and said, “I am taking the tea with me.” That’s what our Lord does when we open our hearts fully to Him. He brings His provisions with Him. The One who comes to dwell within us brings grace and strength for every need. How can we remain lukewarm in our love for Jesus when He longs to come and dine with us? After all He is providing the “Food”!!!!
We are still praying for all the sick and shut-ins everywhere, the sufferers of whatever trials in their lives right now.
