Welcome home to Beverly Rhodes, who returned to Forest on Monday after having been hospitalized in Jackson since early September. We are so happy to get positive reports on your recovery and hope you continue to improve now that you are back home. You have been missed!

Circle the dates of December fifth and sixth for next week’s Citizens of the Year Reception, December fifth, and the Christmas Parade on the sixth. Honorees Billy Frank and Linda Jo Alford will also serve as the Grand Marshals of Forest’s Christmas Parade Friday evening.

Gary and Nelda Risher and Judge Tom and Norma Ruth Lee traveled with the Mississippi College travel group for the Fall Foliage tour of Branson, Missouri.  It was an especially meaningful time of reunion with MC Friends and enjoying beautiful views and marvelous sacred entertainment.

Scott County was well represented last weekend in Oxford at the final Ole Miss home football game of the season. Among those who were in attendance for the weekend festivities were Robbie Sue and Gayle Harrell, Paula, Noble and Roy Noble Lee, Frank Sturrup, Allen Breland, Susan Brown, Randy Rogers and Scott Palmer.

Two friends of Scott County also enjoying the lovely afternoon in the Grove were Woods and Lynn Eastland of Indianola, who asked about friends in Forest.

Presbyterian friends enjoyed the messages brought last Sunday by visiting pastor and retired Forest native Robert Hays. What a special way to celebrate his 75th birthday!!!

Bubby Johnston of Quitman was in Forest last Tuesday on business and enjoyed visiting with friends while here.

Mitzi Breland spent several days last week at Fort Morgan, Alabama, with her sisters, Suzanne Still of New Albany and Jackie Patten of Hazlehurst.
