Remember the Golden Rule

Good Morning / Evening!

There is a “Golden Rule” in the Bible, found in Matthew 7:12 and Luke 6:31; paraphrasing — “treat people the way you want to be treated.” When we do that, it does not mean that everyone you treat fairly or respectful will do the same in return, especially the ones you expect it from. Sometimes they are the main ones that will make you doubt your efforts. But remember you are treating others the way God treats us; walking in the lighted path set before us on the journey to eternal rewards. God enables us to stand for Him! There are unseen forces of evil that we can’t face alone, so He has given us spiritual resources (the full armor of God) to stand and be courageous.

I am a living witness that God hears and answers sincere honest and humble prayers.

Sunday morning services were spirit filled from Sunday School to and through Communion! Pastor Henderson continued on in Matthew 5:15-16 from last week: subject — “God's Shining Light.” Don’t be ashamed of the Light within you, take the cover off and use it to lead others to Christ. We who have God’s light in us are to shine in such a way that those around us see it and are drawn to its source.

We continue in intercessory prayer for our brothers and sisters near and far; May Hunt; Mary Smith; Chanelle McBeath; Jerry Smith; Joel Hunt; Minnie and Mack Robert; Minnie Tucker; Virginia Tucker; Joe Townsend; Fannie Sharpe; Elder Roy Murray; Doris Holifield; Linda Parrott; Juanita Banks; Dorothy Young; Tera Odom; Ethel Coleman; Stella Sharpe; Rev. Neal Keeton; D.J. Williams and all their caretakers.

Prayers for the bereaved families — Benton; Pace/Wilson; and Beamon.

“Let Your mercy and loving-kindness come also to me, O Lord, even Your salvation according to Your promise.”
