There is always hope in God
“Yes You are my rock and fortress; therefore for Your name’s sake lead me and guide me.” Psalm 31:3
Each of us has our own unique flaws, like cracked pots. But if we will allow it, Jesus will use our flaws to grace His Father’s table. In God’s great economy, nothing goes to waste. So as we seek to worship together and as God calls us to the tasks He has appointed for us, don’t be afraid of your flaws. Because as you embrace them, some of the most beautiful acts of love, kindness, and encouragement emerge, in ways you never imagined, from yourself.
As our Bible Study with Pastor Derricks taught us last week, when we profess to know God, we need to walk as Jesus did to learn of and imitate God. In complete obedience to Him and loving service to people. Sometimes we have to stand up for the oppressed, be a father/mother figure for someone; be a positive example in a negative situation. We all need someone here on earth to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or just a warm smile! Be that someone today!
Sending Congratulations to all the 2020 Seniors at Scott Central High School; you all are destined for great things.
A special shout out to my nephew Mr. Courtney Derricks, who is graduating with honors as Salutatorian 2020; he also received the John Philip Sousa Award. He plans to attend Mississippi College. I am very proud of the young man he has become, as I am sure all parents and family are of their Seniors also. They have had a lot to deal with mentally these past months, but they are handling it like the Champions they are! We Salute all of you!

God’s care for His children is like the sun, it is constant. Even when the clouds obscure it, it’s still there. It’s always there. In our hard days, God looks at His hands, engraved with each and every one of our names, and He says, ‘There you are, I have not forgotten you.’
There is always Hope in God!
