Sunday is Father’s Day

Good Morning/Evening !

Let us all come forward and draw near with true hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith. Hebrews 10:22

One of the reasons we don’t seem to enjoy life fully is that we don’t always follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. God will always give us the grace to do whatever He calls us to do. We just have to be willing to yield our control to God.

I have witnessed this personally in the past few weeks; I have written down things to say in Sunday School, and when my mouth opens none of what is on paper comes out but what has been put in my heart and needed at that time comes out, and its like I am listening to someone speak, and well I am because I had yielded to a higher power! My compassion and concern has increased so much lately that it kind of scares me in a good way. My softened heart and weakened state make way for the strength of the Lord to work within me.

So when you are in a situation and not sure of what you should do or say, just breathe and ask the Lord to “Help!”

On Sunday, June 9, 2019 we attended the 6th Year Pastoral Anniversary of Rev. Christopher T. Derricks, at Hopewell M. B. Church in Sylvarena, MS. It was a great celebration, with a surprise song tribute from his sons and two friends, which bought Rev. & Sis. Derricks to tears!! It was topped off by a moving and inspirational message from Rev. Marvin Chapman, Pastor of Old Palestine M. B. Church in Taylorsville, MS, his subject was “A Purposed Path/A Path With A Purpose!”

We are still praying for our families and friends both near and far: Betty Nell White, Joel Hunt, Earlene Williams, Robert Murray, Kent Bradford, Betty Lyles, May Hunt, Ernestine Bobbitt, Joe Townsend, Mae Derricks, Kathy

We pray for comfort and peace in the families grieving the passing of loved ones: the White; Thomas; Irby; Lewis; and the Futch /Anderson families.

“Have mercy and be gracious to me; grant strength to Your servant.”

Sunday is Father’s Day, so HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all the “Father’s” out there!
