Want to!

Good Morning/Evening!

I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst anymore.    John 6:35 We like to blame everything on someone or something else. But we need to sit down and take a good old-fashioned inventory of our want to. Want to is a powerful thing. With it we can lose weight, keep our house clean, save money, get out of debt, or reach some of those other goals we say we should do. We often don’t like to accept the fact that a lot of our victories or defeats has a lot to do with whether we really wanted it. We need to be honest with ourselves and just say, “Lord, I didn’t win because I really didn’t want to, didn’t put my heart into it. So let us try asking the Lord to give us more Want To in the days to come and let’s take control with the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Sunday morning worship was spiritually high, Pastor Henderson preached from Luke 22; his subject was “How Do You Remember Jesus?” We have Communion as most churches do; but is that the only time we remember Him? I pray not! The memory of what Christ did for us should motivate us to become more faithful and obedient to God.

Sunday evening we attended the Annual Choir Day at Harmony M. B. Church and had a glorious time in songs lifting up the Name of the Lord. Everyone bought the presence of the Holy Spirit with them and the place was on fire!

We, the New Beginning M. B. Church family will be having our Annual Family & Friends Day Gospel Celebration on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. The M.C. for the evening will be Pastor Issac Lindsey of Mt. Zion M. B. Church.

Midway Freewill and Midway Baptist Church will be having their Fall Festival on Saturday, October 26, 2019; there will be a Breast Cancer Awareness walk, a Midway cook off, free food, games for all ages, Come out and share in the unity of the community! And on October 27, 2019 Midway Freewill will be having their Choir Day at 2:00 P.M.

Our prayer request names, May Hunt, Mary Smith, Juanita Banks, Betty Nell White, Addie Ree Knight, Linda Butler, Ernestine Bobbitt, Joey Hunt, Rev. Lonnie Adams, David Lofton, Verbie Lyles, Bobby Joe Harrison, Joe Townsend, Ethel Coleman, John L. Evans, JoAnn Graffenread, and others in and around the area.

We also send up prayers of comfort and peace to the families in sorrow. The Haralson, Hunt, & White families. Father in Heaven, what a wonderful vision that those who mourn will be comforted by You giving them a crown of beauty for ashes. And not only will they be comforted, they will know You and be full of strength renewed.

Sending a Happy Birthday wish to Mr. Charles Bradford, Jr. and Cahmari White this week!

To all the Pastors, Preachers, Ministers, keep on doing what you are called to do in your journey, I appreciate your dedication , may your reward be great here and beyond!
