The Morton Panthers gave the homecoming crowd a good showing and a victory to cap off homecoming week festivities this past Friday night. The Panthers hosted district foe Choctaw Central at Panther Field and the Panther offense got things rolling early in the game scoring 21 unanswered points in the first half.
The Panthers would go on to hold off the Warriors in the second half to take the win 34-16 and move to 2-6 on the year and 1-2 in district play.

The Panthers would stretch their lead to 34-0 by the end of the third quarter and be done scoring before the visiting Warriors even got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter.
Choctaw Central would go on to score two touchdowns in the fourth but it was way too little and way too late to pose a threat. The Panther defense had kept the Warriors offense in check until the Panthers began emptying the bench when the game was well in hand.
