The Scott County Distinguished Young Woman Program will be held Saturday night at the Livingston Center in Roosevelt State Park. Doors will open at 6:30, with the program beginning at 7:00.

 February is Library Lover’s Month, and the Friends of the Forest Public Library, along with members of the Forest Public Library staff, are pictured holding new nonfiction donations.

Services for Mr. Edward Monk Sr.  will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Sebastopol. Bro. H.L. Rhodes and Bro. Barren Price will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol.


Linda D. Frith Shoemaker

Mrs. Linda D. Frith Shoemaker, age 64, passed away on Friday January 19, 2018 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held on Sunday January 21, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday January 22, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday January 23, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:50 p.m.



Kathy Graham

Services for Mrs. Kathy Graham were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Sebastopol with burial in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Harmon Smith officiated.

Visitation was held from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol.


Jeannette Stephens

Funeral services for Mrs. Jeannette Stephens were conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 from the Pine Ridge Baptist Church at Lawrence with Bro. Larry Laird officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
