The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) released statewide results from the 2018-19 Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP).

Sammie Louise Nunley Rigsby

Mrs. Sammie Louise Nunley Rigsby, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on February 1, 2018.  She was born on October 7, 1926 in Forest, Mississippi to Staton Baker and Mamie Moore Nunley. She was the youngest of fourteen children, all of whom preceded her in death. She was married to the late E.J. Rigsby.

Roy L. Thomas

Roy L. Thomas, 79, of Darwin Ave., Glens Falls, New York, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital. 

Born July 26, 1938 in Forest, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Deroy and Julia (Hardy) Thomas.
