The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District at a meeting of its Board of Directors held on June 16, 2022, determined the highest and best bid for lease of the following property:
A certain parcel of land being situated in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6, T7N-R3E, Madison County, Mississippi, and being more particularly described as follows: Commence at the Southwest corner of the aforesaid Section 6, T7NR3E and run thence North 00 degrees 27 minutes 00 seconds West for a distance of 712.89 feet to an existing concrete monument on the North right-of-way line of the Natchez Trace Parkway; run thence North 59 degrees 46 minutes 17 seconds East along said North right-of-way line of the Natchez Trace Parkway for a distance of 187.75 feet to an existing concrete monument; run thence North 55 degrees 41 minutes 57 seconds East along said North right-of-way line of the Natchez Trace Parkway for a distance of 125.39 feet to an existing 1/2" iron pin marking the POINT OF BEGINNING of the parcel of land herein described; from said POINT OF BEGINNING and leaving said North right-of-way line of the Natchez Trace Parkway, run thence North 00 degrees 27 minutes 00 seconds West for a distance of 566.30 feet to an existing 1/2" iron pin on the South right-of-way line of Woods Road; run thence South 89 degrees 50 minutes 35 seconds East along said South right-of-way line of Woods Road for a distance of 831.23 feet to a set 1/2" iron pin marking the Point of Intersection of said South right-of-way line of Woods Road with the aforesaid North right-of-way line of the Natchez Trace Parkway; run thence along said North right-of-way line of the Natchez Trace Parkway the following bearings and distances: South 55 degrees 41 minutes 57 seconds West for a distance of 710.73 feet to a set 1/2" iron pin; South 57 degrees 57 minutes 40 seconds West for a distance of 134.03 feet to an existing concrete monument; South 60 degrees 20 minutes 11 seconds West for a distance of 156.92 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 5.62 acres, more or less.
The former owners listed above are notified that the bid is on file and open for review at the office of the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District on Rice Road at the Ross Barnett Reservoir. Said former owners have the exclusive right, at their option, for a period of thirty days after the determination of the highest and best bid by the board, to lease that portion of the land acquired from each such former owner by meeting the highest and best bid and by complying with all the terms and conditions of such leasing as specified by the Board as such bid affects the land acquired from each such former owner. The former owner may not lease more land than was taken from such former owner or one-quarter mile of shoreline, whichever is less. If the option is not exercised within the thirty (30) day period, the option will expire.
