Designed for persons planning to become certified in CPR or renewing their CPR certification. Sister Pat Clemen RN, BSN will be the instructor and the fee for the class is $35 due by January 25th.

Alva Roquel Barber, 78, of Forest MS, died peacefully surrounded by family, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson on Thursday morning, January 3, 2019, after an extended illness.

The Lake High School Cheerleading Squad has put their talent on display during December by winning 1st Place in the Small Varsity Non-Tumbling Division at the UCA Dixie Cheer Competition and by finishing 3rd out of 13 teams in the 1A-3A small varsity non-tumbling division at the MHSAA Cheer Competition.

Second Annual Toy Drive underway

The Scott County Sheriff’s Department began accepting donations Monday in their second annualy Sheriff’s Toy Drive. There is a drop off box at the Scott County Sheriff’s Department in the lobby which is open to the public 24 hours a day. There will be a small drop box at Petals & More in Forest.
