ECMHC awarded $285K grant

East Central Mississippi Health Care in Sebastopol is a community health center that recently celebrated 40 years of providing care to local area residents. ECMHC of Sebastopol started treating patients in 1978 and has expanded its network of clinics to include locations in Walnut Grove, Philadelphia and Newton.


Morton falls to Pelahatchie Chiefs

The Morton Panthers made the trip east down highway 80 into Rankin County to face the Pelahatchie Chiefs last Friday night. The Chiefs scored on offense and defense and Morton lost three fumbles on the way to Pelahatchie dominating the Panthers in a 42-14 loss. The loss drops Morton to 1-5 on the season.

Second Annual Toy Drive underway

The Scott County Sheriff’s Department began accepting donations Monday in their second annualy Sheriff’s Toy Drive. There is a drop off box at the Scott County Sheriff’s Department in the lobby which is open to the public 24 hours a day. There will be a small drop box at Petals & More in Forest.
