Mary Denese Jones, born August 23, 1957 in Forest, MS to John Atley and Johnnie Mae Herron Sawyer, grew up in the Forest and Homewood communities. She attended Forest Municipal Schools for 11 years and graduated with honors from South Leake High School. On August 16, 1974 she married Wesley A. Jones from Walnut Grove.
Seth Drane Adams of Forest, Mississippi passed from this life to the next on Thursday, January 2, 2020. The son of Mary Belle Drane and Seth Thomas Adams, Drane was born on May 31, 1921, in the Weir community in Choctaw County, the eighth of nine siblings.

MORTON - Mrs. Geneva Thompson Harrell was born in Rankin County on October 24, 1937, to her parents Albert and Wilma Franklin Thompson. She passed away December 19, 2019 at her home at the age of 82.
Services for Mr. Joe Walker were held at 3 P.M., Thursday, December 12, 2019, at High Hill Baptist Church. Brothers David Sartin and Don Cook officiated with burial in Sebastopol City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 prior to the service at the church.
