In the blistering heat of the 1999 summer a film crew was in Mississippi shooting scenes for the upcoming movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou? The film starring George Clooney, John Turturro, and Tim Blake Nelson, among other stars, is set in 1937 rural Mississippi during the Great Depression. It’s a comedy, and a good one at that.
