Enjoy an evening of free bingo at the Excel Learning Center on Saturday, November10, 6:30 p.m. No admission will be charged. All participants are welcome to two bingo cards and can play twelve games of bingo. A dessert and beverage will be served. The Excel Learning Center in Morton will offer a CPR class on Saturday, November 10, 9:00 a.m. to noon. The Heartsaver CPR/AED class is designed for persons planning to become certified in CPR and for those renewing their CPR certification. Sister Pat Clemen, RN, BSN, will be the instructor. Fee for this CPR training is $35. Registrations are due November 5. To register for this CPR class, stop at the Excel Learning Center, 383 South 4th Street, Morton, or call 601-732-1800.

Mt. Hebron Primitive Baptist Church will be honoring Pastor Floyd and Elect Lady Louella McConnell’s 25th year of dedicated service to the church and community. This occasion will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2:00 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Sheldon Thomas of Little Rock M.B. Church. The church choir/male chorus will be present to sing.

Monday, November, 12, 2018, Forest High School will host its annual Veterans’ Day Program at 9 a.m. in the Auditorium. The program will be followed by a brunch sponsored by the BETA Club students. CMRLS Libraries will be closed Monday, Nov. 12 in observance of Veteran’s Day. Regular library hours will resume on Tuesday, Nov. 13. All online resources will be available at cmrls.lig.ms.us while the libraries are closed.

The city of Forest garbage schedule will not change on Veterans Day 11/12. Normal schedule will run. Garbage schedule for Thanksgiving week: Normal Schedule for Monday 11/19, Tuesday 11/20, and Wednesday 11/21. Thursday 11/22 will be picked up on Wednesday 11/21, and Friday 11/23 will be normal schedule.
New Bethel M.B. Church will celebrate their 86th Year Anniversary on Nov. 18, at 2:00 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Sheldon Thomas, pastor of Little Rock M.B. Church.
