Easter is almost here and egg hunting season is set to begin this weekend in Forest and continue next weekend in Morton.
This Saturday, March 28, the Forest Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their annual downtown Easter Egg Hunt at Town Square Park on South Main St.
There will be face painting, pictures with the Easter Bunny, food trucks, and lots of Easter Eggs.
Hunting begins at 9:30 a.m. for ages 0-4 and ages 5-8 and at 10:00 a.m. for ages 0-4 and ages 9-12.
Chamber officials say “come take a stroll around downtown ending at the Forest Library for another Easter Egg Hunt for children 6 and under.”
Next Saturday, April 4, the ever popular Easter Egg Hunt at Roosevelt State Park in Morton is set to kick off at 10:00 a.m.
“Hop into the fun at our Annual Roosevelt Easter Egg Hunt,” organizers say.
There will be four age categories with door prizes in each group. Register at Alfreda Harris Lodge beginning at 10:00 a.m. In addition to egg hunting, there will be photos with the Easter Bunny and light refreshments.
Hunts begin around 10:30 a.m. after groups are escorted to their areas.
