As was expected, voter turnout for the March 12 Presidential Primary was extremely low statewide. In Scott County only 10.86 percent of registered voters showed up at the polls, 6.7 percent of Democrats and 15.03 percent of Republicans. There were a total of 3,199 ballots cast with 986 being in the Democrat race and 2,213 Republican.
