Life after 9/11/01
The 20 year Anniversary after 9/11/01 was a sad day and brought raw memories up for all of us. Never can we, or should we forget! I pray for all the families affected by the loss of loved ones and our Nation in what is happening in Washington D.C. I talked to a friend who lost her brother in Pearl Harbor invasion. His group got a direct hit, leaving no remains. She turned her T.V. Off, on 9/11 because she could not deal with her memories.
“Marine Corporal Lance Schmitz’s father met with Joe Biden to ‘have some words’ with him about his feelings. (Schmitz’s son was one of the 13 killed in Afghanistan) Schmitz said Joe talked more about his own son, Beau, than the lost Marine. Eventually, the grieving father took out a photo of his son and told the president to never forget his name or face or the name and faces of the other 12 human beings, who died under his watch. He also, told Biden to take some time to learn their stories. According to Schmitz, his words stunned Biden, so retorted that he did know their stories.”
“Many of the families, of the servicemen who were killed in Afghanistan, felt torn about meeting with the president. Of those who decided to meet with him, many criticized him to his face. Jiennah, the pregnant widow of Marine Corporal Lance Rylee McCollum, said she came away from the meeting feeling his words were hollow, and he didn’t seem to care about her loss.”
August 30 statement from Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States: “Never in history has a withdrawal from war, been handled so badly or incompetent as Biden did with Afghanistan. In addition to the obvious, all equipment should be demanded to be immediately returned to the United States. And that included every penny of the $85 billion dollars of cost. If it is not handed back, we should either go in with unequivocal military force and get it, or at least bomb the hell out of it! Nobody ever thought such stupidly, as the feeble-brained withdrawal was possible.”
Republicans and Democrats are nothing more than a pair of unfit parents, in a custody battle - over America. They’re not hurting each other as much as they are hurting this country. In 1934, a cartoon was in the Chicago Tribune with this caption underneath: “Plan of action for United States! Spend! Spend! Spend! Under the disguise of recovery — Bust the Government — Blame the capitalist for failure — Junk the Constitution and declare a Dictatorship!” (Can you see it happening, I can!)
The Bible is literally unfolding in front of the whole world right now. It’s time to get right with God.
The Kendrick brothers have done it again: Alex Kendrick is an American film writer, producer, director, actor, notable actor staring in faith based film productions such as Facing the Giants; War Room; Overcomer; Courageous; Fireproof and now Show Me the Father. (It is now showing in Regal Theaters). Their films, prior to the current production, grossed over $190 million dollars worldwide. By the way, Alex was a former associate pastor of a church. He and brother Stephen work together to produce these Christian films.
If liars pants really did catch fire, watching the news would be a lot more fun!
A guy, riding in a cab, leaned over to ask the driver a question and gently tapped him on the shoulder. The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus and drove up on the curb nearly hitting a window. After a few minutes the guy said, “I didn’t mean to scare you. Are you okay?” The badly shaken passenger, apologized to the driver and didn’t think a mere tap on the shoulder would startle him so much. Driver replies “No, no, I’m the one who is sorry. It’s entirely my fault! Today is the first day driving a cab, I’ve been driving a hearse for 25 years.”
