Situations
Are you exhausted trying to “fix” your situations? Are you ready to give it to God?
“Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6)
One of the toughest lessons to learn as a Christian, is letting go of our problems and faith, surrendering them to God. Our heart desires to surrender, but our mind begins telling us that we need to “help” God with our problems. Therefore, we end up in a tug-of-war with Him. We give it to him, then take it back. Does this describe you?
He desires to take care of our situations, but deep inside, we just won’t let go. We convince ourselves that we need to help Him. We feel we need to get our “two cents” in. Friends, He doesn’t need our help. He just needs our heart.
Honestly, sometimes we just don’t trust God to handle our situations and problems. We become stubborn and unwilling to let go.
Thankfully I’ve learned over and over, no matter what I think, I need God to intervene and help me. Praise Him, He will! He won’t force himself on us but stands at the door knocking. We have to choose whether to open the door or not.
Instead of wanting my way, I now desire God’s way, which is the best!
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Recently, I have been praying about certain situations. As I prayed, I released the matter to God but honestly I’ve stepped back into the situation several times trying to help God. I’m so thankful my Heavenly Father gives me grace. I’m thankful He is so patient!
Each time I tried to step back in and help, it ended up a mess. I would either speak the wrong words, or speak too many words. My actions usually made the situation worse instead of better.
Thankfully I continue to learn that God’s ways are better. I’ve chosen to give it to Him and stay out of it.
I’m seeing the hand of God moving in my situation! He was waiting patiently for me to let go.
Are you trying to change people in your life? Have you caught yourself saying the wrong words or saying too much? If so, I encourage you to let it go! Trust Jesus to handle your situation. He will answer! Please give your problems to Him!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Surrender your situations to Him!
Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
