Infrastructure Package!
The new $1 Trillion Infrastructure package includes a possible “Vehicle Mileage” tax program. It is buried in the 2,700 page package. This will be a “trial” for one car located in each of our 50 states (total 50 cars) securing the mileage, for a possible vehicle miles travelled fee. This trial will let the government see the feasibility of implementing a tax per mile fee. The time could vary, but it is typically measured during a one year period. This fee then could be used to raise revenue for transportation infrastructure projects. This bill includes $125 Million to fund pilot programs for both commercial and private vehicles.” (Remember, the man sitting in the White House said it will cost us nothing?)
Joe Biden vowed he would unite the people. We are getting united every since he has been in office, but not in the way he predicted. The swamp did not get drained, but the water got low enough for us to see all the hideous creatures residing there in! It sure would be nice to wake up to a secure border, cheap gas and a president who know what day of the week it is!
God bless the Supreme Court!! On Tuesday they shattered one more liberal dream by rejecting an appeal of a lower court ruling. “D.C. Residents are not entitled voting representation in Congress.” They cited SCOTUS ruling that the Constitution does not require that D.C. must have the right to vote in Congress. Article (1) Section (8) - that the Nation’s Capitol will not be a part of a state, nor treated as a state, but in a Neutral district under the sole authority of Congress, where representation of all states can meet on an equal footing.”
Former President, Donald Trump, in a recent speech, “They have thrown every lie they could at me, my family and my love ones. They knew they would stop at nothing to try to stop me, but I never knew it would be this vile, that it would be this bad, that it would be this vicious. Nevertheless, I take all of the these slings and arrows gladly for you. I take them for our moment, so we can have our country back.”
The Constitution they keep talking about drafting for Iraq — why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it anymore!
The Ten Commandments — The reason we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in the Court Houses is this: You cannot post ‘Thou Shalt Not Steal, Thou shalt Not Commit Adultery, Thou Shall Not Lie, in a building with Lawyers, Judges and Politicians. It creates a Hostile Environment!
Looking back at JFK and Eisenhower days. When real Democrats and real Republicans we’re running our country, we didn’t hate each other. We didn’t vote for parties. We voted for ideas that came from both parties. We didn’t label ideas or parties as racist, sexist or un-American. We did what we thought was the best for “We the People” and accepted the winner as a United Country!! Gone are the good old days!
This black lady saw a white police officer parked at a city park. She decided to stop, exited her vehicle, with her two children, and approached him seated in his patrol car. She simply stated that she wanted to pray for him, specifically for his safety. He expressed his gratitude, the best he could, but said she really had no idea how much that meant to him. Her little boy handed him a wilted flower, that looked like it had been in his pocket for a week. But, at that moment it was the most beautiful flower he’d ever seen.
God didn’t remove the Red Sea. He parted it! Sometimes God doesn’t remove your problems, He makes a way through them.
Laugh of the day: little Johnny had just passed his driver’s test and ask his Dad when they could discuss his use of the car. His Dad told him he would have to bring his grades up from a C to a B, study the Bible some and get a hair cut. After about six weeks the Dad told him he had noticed that he was reading the Bible some, his grades had improved, but he was disappointed that he had not gotten his hair cut. The boy told his Dad that in his studying the Bible he noticed that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair and evidently Jesus had long hair. His Dad then asked him, Did you notice they all walked everywhere they went?
A daughter asked her Mom if she could quit school? The Mom told her that it’s against the law and they would put me in jail. That sweet child looked her Mom in the eye and said, “I’ll come visit you!”
