Gene and Dianne Rushing Walker well  represented the Dawgs from our area while attending the Mississippi State University/Arkansas game last Saturday at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Such a special ten days of sunshine for Barbara and Lamar Gatewood, celebrating their 80th birthdays in Destin!  Spending time on the coast with them were daughter Alicia and granddaughters Aubrey and Mika of Tallahassee, Florida and later by daughter Gayla  Gatewood Kaye- Steed and her husband Shane, of Olive Branch, who accompanied Barbara and Lamar back to Forest.

Wishing former FUMC pastor, Rev. Mike Sahler a speedy recovery, following a short stay in the hospital after a recent heart procedure.  Debbie is seeing that the patient gets plenty of rest for the next ten days. They look forward to returning quickly to their regular routine in Meridian.   Get well soon, Mike!

Just learned that long time Forest friend, Frances McCormick Miller has been seriously ill in Pensacola‘s Sacred Heart Hospital for several days, following the discovery of a brain aneurism.  Doctors were continuing to monitor the situation at last report.  Please continue to keep her in your prayers.  

We extend our sympathy to the family of Ruby Galey of Hattiesburg, who died last Saturday.  Her services or Monday in Hattiesburg.  Among the pallbearers was Forest friend, Scott Palmer.

Get well wishes go out to Carol Threadgill who had elbow surgery last Wednesday morning.  She is sidelined with a sling for the next two weeks.
