Plans are underway for summer mission trip
Harperville Baptist Church Youth provided the special music during the morning service. The soloists were Mary Lawrence McKay and Dillon Shaw. They were accompanied by youth members: Chryselynn Martin, Tabi McDaniel, Danny Warren, Madison Edwards, Kiley Jones, Cody Gilbert, Logan Steptoe and Justus Harvey. They presented an excellent and enthusiastic performance of the song, Hills and Valleys.
The youth from HBC and other local churches will be attending DNow at Timbercreek Camp on January 26th and 27th where they enjoy fellowship and discipleship with others.
Plans are well underway for the 2018 summer Haiti Mission Trip. The team is currently planning for their trip and engaged in fund-raising activities. They are currently selling fresh frozen fruits and vegetables. You can purchase bags by contacting any member of the Haiti team.

It is good to have a little reality check once in a while. There are times when I envy the picturesque areas to our north and wish I could live in the mountains and enjoy snow and cooler weather. It only takes a couple of days of temperatures in the lower teens for me to quickly realize that am much better at tolerating the hot and humid weather than the frigid and icy conditions of last week. I am going to try to remember the misery of this recent cold spell when I am tempted to complain about the heat this summer.
