Undefeated Rebels host Philadelphia Friday night at home
The final game of the regular season will be played at home this Friday, October 27th as the Undefeated Scott Central Rebels (10-0) host Philadelphia (9-1). This promises to be the most exciting game of the season and we are expecting huge crowds to turn out to support both teams. Scott Central is pre-selling tickets and they can be purchased through the high school office. The cost per ticket is $7.00.
Last week, our 11th and 12th grade students attended College and Career Day at Roosevelt State Park. Representatives from several branches of the military and many community colleges and universities were on hand to provide students with information about their offerings and programs.
Educators Rising, a student organization which develops interest in the field of education, is hosting Red Ribbon Week. This year’s theme is “Your Future is Key so Stay Drug Free.” To encourage interest and enthusiasm, many activities have been planned throughout the week. There will be picture, poster and essay contests. Students will be asked to sign pledges to be drug free and may dress-up to represent the different goals each day. On Thursday, “Throw Drugs Away” day, the students may dress up like the 90’s and Friday will be a super hero theme to show that “Real Heroes Don’t Do Drugs.”
Harperville Baptist will host a chili cook off, hayride and trunk-or-treat on Sunday night, October 30th.
