Rebels wrap up regular season as District champs
The SC Rebels wrapped up their regular season as District Champs with an exciting win over Philly by a score of 30-18! This Friday night, SC will host Bruce for the first round of playoffs for the 2A North division. Fans are asked to wear white and come out to support the Rebels.
The Scott Central chapter of the National Honor Society inducted thirteen new members in ceremonies on October 23rd. To be eligible for membership, students in grades 10-12 must meet high scholarship requirements, make voluntary service contributions to the community, display leadership experience and be of good character. The newly inducted members were Alexis Guthrie, Josh Bates, Hannah Horton, Leann Brown, Olivia Triplett, Karis Bobbitt, Tommy Pham, Jocey Bell, Kris Deanna Leatherwood, Laya Riser, Stephen Smith, Cameo Odom and Dominic Lacy. The sponsors of the SC/NHS are Wendy Tadlock and Kara Barber.
The Harperville Baptist Church Fall Festival will be held this Wednesday, October 31st, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the gym. Admission is free and there will be fun, carnival type activities for children.
Friday night supper guests of Irene Martin were Russell and Mary Martin returning from their trip to Gatlinburg to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Also attending were Steve, Karon and Tara Martin, Zach Whittington and Elijah and Justus Harvey. Saturday afternoon guests of Irene were Robbie Putnam, Harperville, John and Pat Solomon, Wiggins and Edward Fortune of Byram.
