Rebels host for North State Championship
Congratulations to the Rebels, once again, on yet another victory. On Friday, they traveled to and defeated Eupora and earned the opportunity to play in the North State Championship. The Rebels will have the home field advantage as they host Calhoun City. The Rebels have had an outstanding season as they have steadily, week by week, pushed through to victories. Everyone should come out and support these hardworking, dedicated young men and their coaches this Friday!
We had a wonderful morning service at Harperville Baptist Church. Our choir sang one of my favorites, Blessings, which featured solos by Ruth Gaddis and Kathy Lee. Joni Tillman shared her amazing voice with her rendition of Counting Every Blessing. The message, brought by Bro. Jason Tillman, was about being thankful in all things and we concluded our service with the observance of The Lord’s Supper.
To allow for family celebrations and travel, there will be no prayer meeting or activities at the gym this Wednesday night. The Youth will meet to have a bonfire at the gym on November 24th. Upcoming guest speakers at HBC will be Michael Bradley on 11/25, Kyle Wolfe on 12/2 and Joseph McDonald on 12/9.
As we celebrate our blessings that are beyond measure, let us be mindful of the words of W.T. Purkiser. It is “not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.”
