End of school is near
The precious ladies of Harperville Baptist Church hosted a lovely baby shower Saturday morning for my daughter, Lindsey, her husband, Justin Jones, and my future first grandchild, Emery Rose. Being a part of a church, like Harperville, is such a blessing and is essentially an extension of your family. Having a church family means having others to share and support you in the bad times and celebrate with you in the good times. Thank you Harperville BC for being our church family and for always being there for us whatever the circumstances.
Next Sunday at HBC, we will celebrate another momentous occasion in the lives of two of our faithful youth members. Scott Central seniors, Chryselynn Martin and Dillon Shaw, will be honored during the baccalaureate services on Sunday morning. After the service, we will have a potluck dinner and all family and friends of the graduates are invited to attend.
Deepest sympathies to the families on the recent passing of members of our community and church, Mrs. Burma Gunter and Mr. Henry Elmore.
This is the last regular week of classes for students at all Scott County Schools. Nine weeks exams will be given the following week. Commencement exercises for the SC Class of 2019 will be held at Scott Central on Tuesday, May 21st at 8:00 p.m.
