Happy Father’s Day
Parents of students who will be entering the seventh grade in the fall at Scott Central should be aware that your child must have a current Form 121 with updated TDap vaccination. This vaccination is in addition to requirements to enter kindergarten. According to state health guidelines, no student may attend school in the fall unless they are current on immunizations. For your convenience, the Scott County Health Department will be providing Immunization Only clinics on the following dates: June 16th, 19th, and 23rd; July 7th, 16th, 21st, and 30th; and August 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 17th. Even though these clinic dates are immunization only, you must still call and make an appointment as they will not accept walk-in appointments. The Health Department number is 601-469-4941. Please email a copy of the current immunization to Mrs. Christy Martin at cmartin@scott.k12.ms.us or mail the original to the school, 2415 Old Jackson Road, Forest, MS 39074.
Congratulations to our Harperville Baptist Church high school senior graduates: Graduating from Home School is Justus Harvey; from Scott Central are Cody Gilbert, Tabitha McDaniel, Jordan Waggoner, and Danny Warren and from Forest High School is Reese Tillman. HBC’s college graduates from Mississippi State University are Victoria Sanders and Shannon Warren. We are so proud of all of our graduates and wish them great success as they move forward.
Don’t forget to celebrate and recognize Father’s Day this upcoming Sunday, June 21st. It is a day set aside to honor all fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers and father figures for their contributions.
