Back to School
Plans are underway for returning to school. These plans are being made based on current health information and mandates from our government and are therefore subject to change and modification at any time.
Scott Central is taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of our students, teachers, staff, and their families. Recognizing that some students and families in our community are medically vulnerable, Scott Central is offering an at-home/virtual learning option for those students. If you are interested in participating in at-home/virtual learning, you can find the reopening guidelines by visiting the Scott Central Attendance Center’s Facebook page or the Scott Central School District website.
A new item that will need to be added to back-to-school supplies this year will be face masks. Students will be required to wear a mask while on the school bus, reporting to class, transitioning to activities, traveling to and from the cafeteria or during instances where adequate social distancing cannot be established. Parents are asked to send an extra mask for your child in case of emergencies. This extra mask will be kept at school in case your child’s mask ear loops break, it becomes soiled or another situation arises where he/she may need a replacement mask. We ask that you send your child’s extra mask to school (on their first day of attendance) in a plastic bag with his/her name on it. Each child’s homeroom teacher will collect the mask and store them in a safe place throughout the year.
Harperville Baptist Church resumed on-site services this past Sunday in the Fellowship Hall. The church is taking every precaution to provide as safe an environment as possible. Services are currently being offered on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. Plans are underway to begin adding some modified Sunday School worship services as well. If you cannot attend in person, you can still view the Sunday services on our Harperville Baptist Facebook page along with Bible studies provided by Bro. Gary Wyatt throughout the week.
