Don’t worry or be afraid! The Holy Spirit will lead and guide you!
Worried about making a decision? Not sure if you’re doing the right thing?
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
What a loving confirmation/promise that our Heavenly Father will lead and guide our every step. We are daily faced with decisions that need His guidance. His Word tells us the light of Jesus will show us the way down the dark path of life. No, we don’t have to be afraid or worry! His light shines bright!
“Your Word, O Lord, is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
God is not the author of confusion and doubt. His voice speaks truth and will show us THE way. If we won’t rush making certain decisions, but instead wait on God’s voice, we will save ourselves much headache and stress.
“When you don’t know what to do, don’t do!” Antidote: Begin to worship and thank God for His guidance as you wait on His direction. He WILL show you the path to follow!
“O Lord, You have made known to me the path of life.” (Psalm 16:11)
This scripture is a promise from Abba Father. No parent would leave their small child out in the woods alone in the dark to find their way home. Because of our love for our child, we would take a light and show them the way home to safety. This is an illustration of our Father and His love for us, His children!
God’s loving promise: “I will guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will NOT be hampered; when you run, you will NOT stumble.” (Proverbs 4: 11-12)
Whether it’s buying a car, choosing a mate, looking for a job, or health decisions, please know that God cares about every part of our lives! You are not bothering Him when you talk/pray to Him about “small” issues. There’s actually no small issue with God; He cares about everything! He loves to be part of your life in every area!
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go” says the Lord. (Psalm 32:8)
I encourage you to wait on God, listen to His voice, surrender every part of your life and will to Him, knowing He will lead you through every decision. Yes, in order for God to handle the situation for us, we have to take our hands off and release the control. He doesn’t need our help in fixing the situation we’re facing. Nothing is impossible for our Heavenly Father!
God is good all the time! He is full of love for you! He will guide you to make the “right” decision because that’s His promise!
