It’s time to trust God!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
It’s time to trust God!
Why do we continuously play tug-of-war with God? He begins to lead and guide us, and then our human flesh gets in the way and we pull back and try to handle our problems on our own. If you’re like me, it never works when we try to handle our problems and situations on our own. I’ve learned over the years that God truly knows more than me. He always knows what’s best for me in every situation.
Just recently, I have been praying about a certain matter. I kept telling God, “I trust You with my whole heart.” But as you can guess, I kept trying to “help” God. This morning I thought, “What was I thinking? God doesn’t need for me to get in the way with my advice. He doesn’t need my help. He only needs me to love and trust Him.”
It’s time to trust God!
Thank God for mercy and grace! And thankfully the Holy Spirit is always trying to teach me to follow God’s ways and to trust Him with all matters. It’s a journey for me and I have declared that I will win my battles by trusting God! How about you? We’re not to think and do as the world does. We are children of God and are called to walk with Him every day. We have to let go of the control over matters and trust Him. “Let it go!”
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.’ (Romans 12:2)
It’s time to trust God!
When we stay awake at night worrying over certain situations, we are actually telling God, “I don’t trust you completely. You need my help.” Usually all we receive from those actions is the gift of sleepless nights!
“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.” (Psalm 55:22)
“For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” (Isaiah 41:13)
It’s time to trust God!
Today, God‘s calling us to let go of the control and trust him.
Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
