Standing strong in your battles
“Be firm in the Christian faith. Be courageous and strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)
“So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
We’re in a battle in this world. No, we may not see it, and we might forget it’s even there. But the enemy would love nothing more than to start your day with discouragement and defeat, bringing you fear and stress. Please don’t let him win!
As believers, we are living like salt and light in a dark world. Obstacles and attacks will be hurled at us daily. God reminds us in His Word to stay aware of the devil’s schemes and stay close to Jesus!
Sadly, many that profess Jesus as their Savior are compromising with the world and are adjusting God’s Word to fit into their lifestyle.
It’s important to know God’s Scriptures. We must put on the armor of God daily. The devil comes to seek those He can devour, so we can’t be sitting targets for him to attack. We need to be ready wearing our armor to fight the enemy and win.
Our Christian life will be an ongoing battle against sin. Let’s not become discouraged in doing what’s right. Every day we should renew our minds through worship, prayer, and reading His Word.
We need to continually spend time in the presence of God. We need to pray for courage and boldness to do His will. Friends, it’s dangerous to drive and not pay attention to what’s in front of you. We need to be alert at all times and keep our eyes focused on God and not the traffic (life’s problems) around us.
“Stand firm, and you will win life.” (Luke 21:19)
“You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.” (James 5:8)
One of our weapons is the sword of the Spirit, God’s Holy Word. He equips us with strength, wisdom, and discernment to stay strong.
As we grow to know God more and understand His truth (Jesus), we will be stronger to stand against the evil in this world in the powerful name of Jesus! He never leaves us to fend for ourselves in this dark world, but reminds us he is always with us, fighting for us, even when we cannot see or feel Him.
Praying God’s Word is a powerful weapon against evil attacks. His Word is Truth going out!
God knows our situations and understands what we are facing. He desires to build our faith and trust in Him. God is ready for us to win our battles!
“Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you!” (James 4:7)
Continue praying and stand strong! Prayer changes everything!
Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
