The Answers
How do I receive an answer from God? I’m not sure what to do!
Friends, you don’t have to do anything. Just believe that God will answer!
“Those who know your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You.” (Psalm 9:10)
1. Choose to worship and live a life of thankfulness.
We were created to worship our Heavenly Father and live with a heart of thanksgiving. Worship is expressing our love for God with a grateful and humble heart for the many blessings He has given us. Worship is surrendering our will to God and desiring His will for our lives. Thankfulness is a key that can open our hearts to receive what God has for us.
2. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to ask God. He cares.
Jesus said, “I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask for “anything” in my name and I will do it.” (John 14: 13-14)
Why do we feel ashamed for asking or criticize others who ask? God is our Abba Father (Daddy). He desires for us to approach his throne and present our request. He cares about our emotional, physical, and spiritual health!
3. Choose to live a life of faith in God, believing His promises.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us — whatever we ask — we know that we have what we asked of Him.” (1 John 5: 14-15)
Confidence in God answering our prayers = faith. When we ask, we must believe in faith that He will answer according to His will. Our faith is strengthened by reading and meditating on His Word. Whether we are praying and believing for a family member to get saved or even asking God for a vehicle to drive or a new job, He loves to answer prayers. Some feel we should only ask God for spiritual things. His Word says, “He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory.” (Philippians 4:19) All means everything!
“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not “want” (want or need for anything) (Psalm 23:1)
He is Jehovah Jireh, our supplier, and loves to bless us with the desires of our heart as well as our needs. He knows what we need and when we need it! Whether it involves our finances, health, or restoration of a broken relationship!
Friends, let’s choose to worship and express our love for Him to Him with a thankful heart and not be afraid or ashamed to present our request to Him. Let’s believe His Word that’s full of promises, knowing He cares about every aspect of our lives! Please remind yourself daily that God answers prayer and prayer changes everything!
Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
