God is a good God!
“Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of ‘hope.’ Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” (Zechariah 9:12)
Do you feel that it just couldn’t get any worse in your life? Do you feel like the ‘bottom has just fallen out’ and you could possibly drown in all your troubles?
God’s Word is telling you to not give up!
He will “restore (repay) what the locust has eaten” (Joel 2:25)
This scripture in Joel assures us that our Heavenly Father will restore to us what we have lost or was stolen by the devil! We should demand the devil repay a double portion of what he has stolen from us in Jesus’ name!
“The thief (devil) comes only to steal, kill, and destroy..” (John 10:10)
Friends, we should refuse to give the devil anything that is ours. We should demand and expect repayment on what he has stolen in the powerful name of Jesus!
“Therefore God exalted him (Jesus) to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2: 9:11)
Praise God! The devil cowers down and trembles at the name of Jesus (Yeshua)! We should use the name of Jesus with power and authority because we’re God’s children!
When we’re attacked on all sides, we should begin to worship and thank our Father. There’s tremendous power when we worship! When King David lost his child with Bathsheba, He began to worship God with his whole heart. God gave him restoration with a son named Solomon who became a mighty king of Israel!
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (that’s us).” (Romans 8:28)
When we have experienced a major storm or tragedy, we honestly don’t want to hear this particular verse at the time while we’re hurting. It’s not comforting at the moment, but this verse is truth and if we will allow, God will bring forth good from our storm.
I meditated on this verse many times during the shock of losing our son Steffan. I thought, “How can any good come from losing my son?” Over the past eight years of recovery, I’ve seen good come forth. Did I get my son back? No. Do I still miss him? Yes, but many lives were spiritually changed through his death. That’s good. Also, my book has helped many who have read it. That’s good.
Today, I encourage you to look to God and know His Word that is full of promises and love. He’s a restoration God and He loves you!
Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
