The MessageBy PASTOR BILL MYERS,
Prayer changes everything
No, No, No! Don’t give up! No matter what you’re currently facing! I encourage you to trust in the One who can deliver you in Jesus’ name!
Your God is the God of the impossible!
“One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard: that you, O God, are strong, and that you, O Lord, are loving.” (Psalm 62:11-12)
How reassuring to know that God is strong, mighty, and nothing is impossible for Him! He is almighty! He can remove those stubborn mountains that block you from receiving your miracles, He can part the sea especially when you feel there’s no hope and you’re at a dead-end road. He only ask that you trust, believe His Word, and allow him to work in your life so you’ll be more like Him.
God is love. “God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” (1 John 4:16)
His Word shares His love for us throughout the entire Bible. Many overlook this important personality trait of our Heavenly Father. Some still view God as always angry and judgmental, especially when we sin; but Abba Father (our Daddy) is loving, forgiving, merciful, full of grace, and compassion. For those who were raised by parents with anger problems, their view of God can sometimes be distorted and twisted.
Friends, God is love, love is God! There is no “true” love outside God. His endless love covers all our sins with grace and mercy.
Let me insert this: God’s grace is not a free ticket to deliberately go out and sin. Yes, He will forgive but unfortunately we “reap what we sow” i.e. Abraham and Lott. Lott was covered in grace and God spared His life. But he left Sodom with only the shirt on his back. He even lost his wife who disobeyed and looked back at the city. Please don’t allow sin to stand in your way and rob you from the abundant life God has for you! I don’t know about you, but I want everything God has for me!
Let’s remind ourselves that Jesus loves us very much, and He is strong and loving, a beautiful balance that sets an example for us to live by!
When we spend time thanking Him for our blessings (worship), His love begins to fill us and that love (God) that He gives us will affect others. Love is the best tool for evangelism. Yes, God’s love!
Today, take time to read His Word and let your heart be encouraged that the same miracle working God in the Bible is your God now! He cares about what you’re facing and will answer your prayers! Remember, nothing, nothing, nothing is too big for Jehovah-Jireh (your provider)! Face your “giant” as David did with confidence! Your battle belongs to God (and He always wins)!
Remember prayer changes everything!
Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
