Pray, Trust, Believe
God says I’m His child! His Word says I’m righteous! Therefore I choose to believe Him!
“Righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” (Romans 3:22)
Do you believe you’re righteous? Righteousness is a free gift! All we have to do is believe. If we are righteous, then we shouldn’t listen to the devil tell us we are terrible sinners, unforgiven, or scum. If we listen long enough to him, we’ll feel we’re not worthy to come before God or even attend church! Friends, we are forgiven! We are righteous, which is a free gift from Jesus who paid the price on the cross. Free! Let’s choose to believe in faith that we are righteous!
The old hymn we sing says, “Jesus paid it all…”
Faith believes all God’s promises in His Word so let’s not be moved by what we see, or what we hear, or what we’re going through. Let’s choose to only be moved by God’s Word, which is truth! Yes, let’s believe in faith that we are righteous! Let’s see ourselves as His righteous children, cleansed, forgiven, healed, and restored. Again, this isn’t based on our condition or situation at the moment.
Righteous equals right standing with God. If someone gave you a free present, wouldn’t you receive and open it? As His children, we receive free benefits because He loves us!
“The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all he has made (us).” (Psalm 145:13)
If you need a prayer answered, begin to thank Him in advance (faith) even before you receive it. He loves you and will not ignore nor forsake you! Never! Prayer changes everything! Please know your prayer has power and God hears your every word!
I have so many personal testimonies of answered prayer! I first had to realize who I am, God’s child and that He loves me just the way I am, righteous and favored! I had to also realize that being righteous is not an earned position. It’s free!
I encourage you to begin praying, “Father, I trust you. I trust your timing and believe with all my heart You will answer my prayer according to your will, in Jesus’ name, amen.” (Amen means, “so be it.”)
“Those who have faith are blessed.” (Galatians 3:9)
Today, choose to believe His promises and never give up trusting! God will not break a single promise in His Word!
I wrote this song in my Bible 30 years ago and still refer back to it to be encouraged. “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus; just to take Him at His Word. Just to rest upon His promise, just to know thus says the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him; how I’ve proved Him over and over. Jesus, Jesus, my precious Jesus, oh for grace to trust Him more.”
If you need a prayer answered today, pray, trust and believe!
