Don’t be discouraged
If you’re discouraged today, please know God loves you!
He desires to bless and answer your prayers…. I promise!
“If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7)
Our loving Father desires a personal relationship with us. He is our Heavenly Father, but also our Abba Father (Daddy), and our friend. When we are hurt and broken, we can go to Him with confidence that He will comfort us with His loving arms and never leave our side. Have you ever gone to somebody for comfort when you were hurting only to have him or her tell you, “It’s okay, don’t cry. You must be strong.” Friends, that’s not much comfort.
When my children were small and would come to me with a broken heart, I would hold them tightly in my arms and continuously whisper in their ears how much their daddy loved them. I would normally hold them until they felt better. They always knew they could come to me if they were hurting and I would be there for them. That’s a small example of the insurmountable love God has for us!
He knows you personally and intimately… He knew you before you were born……… Yes, He knows your name!
His Word tells us that if we will remain in relationship with Him, we can ask Him for anything we wish and He will do it. The “remain in me” part helps increase our faith. We don’t have to convince God by praying more, but instead convince ourselves by believing His every Word! Need a job promotion? Hungering for a friendship or romantic relationship? Need help with a test? Praying for a financial miracle? The answer is in the above verse, His promise. God never breaks a promise!
I encourage you to spend time with Him, read His Word, worship Him, choose to be thankful even when you’re in a storm, and believe! He will answer your prayers! That’s His promise! Faith means that we believe that His Word is true!
“Those who have faith are blessed.” (Galatians 3:9)
We don’t love Him for what He can do for us, but instead we love Him for who He is. We love Him because He first loved us and because we are His children who have a relationship with Him! His Word promises He will answer our prayers! What a package deal!
“The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made.” (Psalm 145:13)
As you’re reading this devotion, just pause and tell Him, “I trust You Jesus. I know you love me and will answer my prayers.”
I encourage you to remain in His presence during the good times and cling to Him during your storms.
Jesus is the answer! Jesus is your answer!
Remember, prayer changes everything!
Don’t give up! Your answers are coming!
