Call of the Gospel
The message inspired by God contained in the New Testament, as well as everything inspired and written in the Bible, is complete. It is revealed to Christians as a call to integrate it as principles that guide our daily lives. Nothing is easy for human beings with original sin, but the call must be understood in order to obey what it commands.
However, it does not seem so difficult when we integrate the call to our mind and obey by giving testimony of it in what we do every day. That translates into the way we communicate with others. To live the Gospel means to love, forgive others and be interested in helping according to the possibilities and resources that God gives to each one. It implies putting oneself in the place of those in need giving comfort and support in difficult times without judging the causes that may have caused the affliction.
In our community there are a number of people who suffer afflictions due to legal situations that Immigration authorities are studying. At the same time, unfortunately, there are citizens who resolved to punish and judge prejudicedly. Many Christians have refused to give testimony to which the gospel calls us, and they ignore or don’t want to help those who live in pain.
Remember that every believer is a minister of Christ. “Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:1-4 ESV.
In this battle materialized in our lives, one cannot feel shame or be a coward before the enemy of God. Any mistake of ours satisfies the prince of the world, who is not only the enemy of the Lord but also our eternal adversary, damages the church. When we shut up and hide the truth, we do not bear witness to being a disciple of Jesus Christ and it implies a great error. No believer should be negligent or place himself in a place of spiritual comfort because he runs the risk before God. The mentioned comfort means that the person is no longer free, is tied to himself. When you arrive at the trial you will be judged by omission. He turned his back on the revealed message of Christ in the great commission: “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 ESV
Integrating into the gospel has only two options, one is to commit to Christ, letting Him guide our lives, and the other is simply to deny it by moving away from the proposed integration.
May God bless you.
