I believe in God’s promises and faithfulness!
“Your promises are true, great is your faithfulness.”
“God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:9)
We know his word does not lie! The above verse says he is faithful! No if or but. He is faithful because He loves us! God is a way-maker and a promise keeper!
My heart and goal is to encourage the body of Christ to believe that God truly loves them no matter what they’ve said or done. The past doesn’t matter. God forgives and remembers no more!
Satan desires to discourage Christians, making them feel unworthy to receive anything from God. So many have the image of an angry God sitting on a Zeus style throne waiting for us to mess up so He can punish us. That is not the description of our Heavenly Father! Friends, God is love! Would you like to know what He’s like? Read in Galatians regarding the fruit of the Spirit. That is who God is. The fruit of the Spirit is his personality.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)
Obviously he is a good Father! Maybe you have grown up with a stern over-bearing father who lacked love and affection. It might have possibly tainted your views of your Heavenly Father. If so, allow Him to change your mindset. As you pray, read and meditate on the fruit of the Spirit again. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide you into truth!
I firmly believe we will all be somewhat surprised when we arrive in Heaven. We will discover the magnitude of God’s unconditional love. He doesn’t judge or condemn us for our sins. He is forgiving and faithful! His word tells us that we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. That instant change will come from his pure and powerful love, which will engulf and change us. What a day that will be!
“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
Today, if you’re fighting discouragement and feeling unworthy, unloved, confused, angry, etc., remind yourself that no matter what is happening in your life, you are loved by your Heavenly Father. His promises are always true and he’s faithful to keep his word!
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful!” (Hebrews 10:23)
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” (Deuteronomy 7:9)
Continue praying and believing in his powerful word! Keep confessing his powerful scriptures!
