Midway’s Christian Rally set for January 28
Midway M. B. Church Annual Christian Rally will be held January 28, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The theme: Faith in God — Daniel 10:19. There will be many booths with many freebies and lots of refreshments. The knowledge bestowed will be vast and enjoyable. Everyone is invited to attend this great refreshing knowledge of God’s word.
Welcome Booth will be hosted by Dr. Locord Wilson. Vacation Bible School will be hosted by Patty Odom and Shawanda Matheny. Registration blanks will be available for you to register for Vacation Bible School. Theme: God’s Squad: Special agents in action. Discipleship/Refreshment booths will be hosted by Delie Shepard, Chenelle McBeath, LaBoris Ross and Annie Stowers.
Each of the Sunday school classes will have a booth. Adult Class booth will be hosted by Tom Wilson and Minister Wesley Griffin. Class Four will be hosted by Leslie Ross and Pam Banks. Class Three class will be hosted by Jennie Clay. Class Two will be hosted by Brenda Nickols. Class One class will be hosted by Diane Banks and Crystal McClendon.
Youth Ministry will be hosted by Deacon Tevin Nickols and Chelsey McClendon. Mission Ministry is hosted by Constance McClendon and Sylvia Kennedy.
The Century Family Reunion will be held at Roosevelt Park, June 22 and 24, 2018. Saturday Night events will be held at Reach One on One in Forest. We are gearing up for great attendance. The Reunion is at home where all the people originated from that started the reunion in the Sixties. If you need more information or a printed copy of the registration blank, call Delie Shepard.
Sympathy is given to the Smith and Lee family in the passing of Rosie Mae Smith Lee of Markham, IL. She was the granddaughter of Verna Mae Handford Smith. She will be eulogized on Wednesday in Markham. Those locally who plan to attend the services are nieces: Violet Smith Peavy and Rosie Mae Smith Peavy, Willie Peavy and Dorell Peavy. Remember these travelers as they motor to and back for the funeral.
Mallory Williams is again in the hospital. She had spent several days in Lackey Hospital in Forest. She was rushed to a hospital in Jackson. Remember her and her family in your prayers.
Cliff “Tag” McDonald was admitted to Lackey Hospital this past weekend. Remember him and his family in your prayers.
Our sick list consists of Mack Arthur Robinson, Percy Shepard, Doris Holifield, Katie Mae Kincaid, Mattie Holifield, Maggie Smith, Freda Ward, David Parrott, Linda Parrott, Vasherer Ficklin and Nettie Kennedy.
