Midway reopens

Someone told me I had tested positive for Covid-19. I am well and have never tested positive. I have other health issues but Covid–19 is not one of them. I really want to keep it that way.
Midway M. B. Church morning service is at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook. You may mail your tithes to 5860 Midway Odom Road, Forest, MS 39074 or you can pay your tithes and offering through your PayPal.com. The account is under MidwayMBC@yahoo.com. The church will reopen July 12, 2020. Service will start at 10:30 am in the sanctuary. Everyone is required to wear a mask. The length of service will be scaled down to not last as long as regular service had lasted in the past. You are to socially distance in your seating. Tithe and offering boxes will be in the entrance way of the sanctuary for you to make your donations upon entering the church. Envelopes will be placed outside of the doorway for your convenience.
Scott Central and the other Scott County Schools are scheduled to reopen with half of the pupils on Monday and Wednesday (July 27 and July 29). The last alphabets will come on July 28 and July 30. No one will come on Friday. This pattern is for the first two weeks. Thereafter everyone will attend each day.
Forest Schools has a separate date for returning to the classroom.
Would like to honor the graduates at this time. Scott Central graduates are: Colby Banks, Marquise Matheny, Dejerrious Black, Alexis Johnson, Jay Washington and Shun Murray.
Colby Banks the son of Pam Harper Banks and the late James Banks. He is the grandson of L. J. and Sarah Ann Harper of Morton and the late Rosie Nell Banks. He intends to attend East Central Community College and major in auto mechanics.
Marquise Matheny is the son of Jody and Shawanda Matheny. He is the grandson of Shirley Matheny.
Alexis Johnson is the daughter of Sherry Lewis and the late Wayne Lewis. She is the granddaughter of Alice McCarther.
Jay Washington is the son of Bea and Irene Bradford Washington. He is the grandson of the late Henry Earl and Irene Bradford.
Shun Murray is the son of Carrie Smith. He is the grandson of the late Thomas and Maggie Roberts Smith.
Dejerrious Black is the son of Brittni Black and Demond Hughes. He is the grandson of the late Jerry and Denise Crutcher Black. His paternal grandparents are Gloria McCormick and the late Steve McCormick. He is also the great grandson of Christine Ealy Black and the late Charlie Ray Black. The paternal great grandson of Hattie Hughes and the late T. J. Hughes. He plans to work at Ingalls Ship Building in Pascagoula, MS.
Congratulation on the graduation of Tierica Parker from East Central Community College with Honors. She is the daughter of Eric Parker and Shilo Harris. She is the maternal granddaughter of Beverly Sanders Parker and Billy Ray Parker. She is the paternal granddaughter of Ann Harris and the late Billy Harris. She is the maternal great granddaughter of the late James Cleveland and Olivia McClendon Sanders and the paternal great granddaughter of Cloisteen Sweezer and Charles Evers.
Thanks to Crudup Ward for the boxes of food given away in the community last week. The boxes were nice boxes with chicken, canned chicken, canned beef, fruits, and vegetables.
Prayers for Tracey McClendon Williams, she under went surgery last Sunday.
Nettie Kennedy spent several days in the hospital. She is home now prayerfully doing well.
Sympathy to the Murray, Odom and Herring families in the passing of Melvie Murray Odom Herring. Her services will be Thursday in Stockton, CA. She is the sister of Ella Odom and Clinese Roberts. Their brother Robert Lee Murray was buried two weeks ago. She and her late husband Willie Cager Odom, were blessed with three children, Charlie, Billy and Joyce.
Sympathy to the Walk family in the passing of Gertrude Walk who was 100 years young. Her graveside services were at St. Peter Cemetery. Mapp Funeral Home was entrusted with her arrangements.
Sympathy to the Irving family in the passing of Ralph Irving. His arrangements are incomplete at my deadline. Evans Memorial Funeral Home are entrusted with his arrangements.
