Field Day held at
Little Rock M.B. Church
Sympathy to the Stowers and Goodlow Families in the demise of Beverly (Bell) Stowers Goodlow’s granddaughter, Aniyana Goodlow in California. She is the daughter of Cedric Goodlow. She was born with a heart defect. She has had several surgeries. She will be eulogized in California on Saturday. Remember the family in your prayers.
The Scott County Small Farmers and Landowners Organization’s Limited Resources Beef Cattlemen Field Day was held at Little Rock M. B. Church, 643 Tallabogue Road, Forest, MS on last Saturday, starting at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast and lunch was served. Those helping to prepare the food were Evelyn Nicks, Vivian Sanders, Mae Williams, Sherrie Spivey, Delie Shepard, Tony Sanders and Joseph Sanders.
The program consisted of: Welcome by Vivian Sanders; Introduction of Speaker by Allen McReynolds, Winston County Self Help Center, Technical Service Provider; Hope Collins, NRCS, Scott County, Soil Technician; Pasture/Forage Development by Dr. Rocky Lemus, MS State Extension Service; Herd Health Demonstration by Dr. L. C. Payton, Tri-county Veterinary Service; Farm Record Keeping by Carolyn Banks, Alcorn State University Extension Program; Producing/Marketing Premium Calves by Michael Trusclair, USDA/ASU Liaison; Closing remarks by Greg Nicks, SCSF, member; and Announcements by Frank Taylor, WCSHC, Team Leader

The Scott County Chapter meets each Monday after the 4th Sunday at Little Rock M. B. Church at 6:00 p.m. promptly. Each interested party is encouraged to attend.
Very glad First Lady Venita Whittington was able to attend church with us last week. We were glad to see her, Diamond and her baby in the mist of attendees.
Midway M. B. Church will participate in the Long Pilgrim District Unified Revival. April 25 will be Midway’s night their choir will preform and the Minister Wesley Griffin will deliver a message.
