Sunday School Graduation is May 6th
Sympathy to the Lucas Family in the passing of Darryl Dwayne Lucas. He was eulogized on last Saturday at Christian Triumph M. B. Church, Morton, MS. The eulogy was delivered by Rev. Frank Washington. Rev. Willie Robinson is the pastor. His interment was at Homestead Church Cemetery in Branch, Mississippi. Darryl left his wife Lizzie of 25 years and three children, LaDarren Lucas, Halle Lucas and Devin Lucas.
During my time as an employee of Walmart in the late 80’s Darryl was an Assistant Manager. He will be remembered by his smile, willingness to help and his work ethics. Remember the family in your prayers.
Sympathy is given to the Murrell and Davis Family in the passing of Bobby Davis. Last Friday, Bobby was in an accident where a tree fell on him. His arrangements are incomplete at my deadline of publication. Bobby Davis is the husband of previous Tax Assessor Collector Myra Murrell Davis. Remember the family in your prayers.
Midway M. B. Church Sunday School graduation will be First Sunday, May 6th immediately after Sunday School. Sunday School Graduation is a transition from one age group to another age group in another class.
Midway M. B. Church will participate in the Long Pilgrim District Four Night Revival. April 23rd -26th at Truelight M. B. Church starting at 7:30 p.m. Monday Night speaker will be Pastor Timothy Croft of Lone Pilgrim M. B. Church. Tuesday Night speaker will be Pastor Kenyon Hutchins of Bethlehem M. B. Church. Wednesday Night speaker will be Dr. Larry Weathers, pastor of Truelight M. B. Church. Wednesday Night’s Devotional Message will be delivered by Minister Wesley Griffin, of Midway M. B. Church. Midway M. B. Church Choir will render one selection on April 25th. Thursday Night speaker will be Dr. Johnny Barnes, Pastor of Providence M. B. Church.
Midway M. B. Church Mission Program will be April 29th during regular service. Constance McClendon is the Mission President. Dr. Lorraine Dozier will be the Mistress of Ceremony.
