Impressive Pastorc Installation at Midway
Midway M. B. Church Pastor’s Installation Program was held on last Sunday. The program was nice. The Pastor Wesley Griffin and the First Lady Marilyn Griffin were dressed beautifully. She wore the beautiful white suit. The participants on the program were exquisite.
Some of the program participants were: Thomas and Dr. Locord Wilson escorted the Pastor and first Lady into the church. Introduction the Mistress of Ceremony was Pam Banks. The Mistress of Ceremony was TeeLisa Kennedy. Deacon Tevin Nickols and our former First Lady Brenda Nickols pinned their Boutonniere and Corsage. Jerry McBeath led the choir’s first song, ‘God’s Grace”.
In charge of the Pulpit was Dr. Johnny Barnes, Pastor of Providence M. B. Church. Rev. Corey Bender, Pastor of Midway Freewill Baptist Church read the scriptures. Rev. Frank Washington, Pastor of Mt. Herman M. B. Church of Marydale. Tamara Banks and Martez Nickols led the choir in “Spirit Break Out”. Introduction of the guest speak was Rev. David Sinclair. Crystal McClendon sang, “I pray we all be ready”. The message was delivered by Rev. Bobby Sinclair. Pam Bank led the choir in singing, “Your Anointing”. Pastor Bobby Sinclair of Community of Grace Baptist Church, 1809 W. Atkinson Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin did the Installation message. A charge to the church by Rev. Kelly Miller of Jones Chapel M. B. Church of Carthage. A charge to the pastor done by Rev. Vorneal Lipsey, Sr of Christian Union Baptist Church, Carthage, MS and New Jerusalem, Baptist Church on Highway 43. Prayer of Installation was done by Pastor of Mt. Olive M. B. Church of Carthage. Deacon Tyrone McClendon welcomed everyone to the program. Pastor Sinclair escorted the newly installed Pastor to the pulpit. In the presentation to the pastor, the Pastor’s Aid Ministry presented the pastor of a pastoral robe. Closing the program was remarks by Pastor Griffin and the Benediction and the Blessing of the Food by Pastor Bobby Sinclair. The program was wonderful. Midway M. B. Church Friends, Family, and Homecoming Day will be August 19th. Worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday School will begin at 9:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served from 8:10 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. For Friends and family Day the members are asked to wear red and black.
Revival schedule: Monday Night and Tuesday night speaker will be Rev. Alvin Day, Associate Minister of St. James Church of Canton, MS. Wednesday night speaker will be Rev. Kelly Miller, Pastor of Jones Chapel M. B. Church of Carthage, MS. Thursday night speaker will be Rev. Vorneal Lipsey, Pastor of Christian Union Church and New Jerusalem M. B. Church.
