Everyone come out and support the Rebels

Larry Beamon, a retired military veteran, who attended Alcorn University will be memorialized at Midway M. B. Church on October 20, at 2:00 p.m.  At his passing Larry had resided in Kansas.  Dwight Beamon his brother had motored up to Kansas two weeks before he transitioned into Glory. Remember his children and his siblings in your prayers. Those siblings that live here are George Beamon, Marshal Beamon, Dwight Beamon and Diane Beamon. Larry was also a graduate of Scott Central High School.

Prayers are sent up for Chenelle McBeath, she is home now recovering with her husband Jerry and their children and grandchild. 

Prayers for Shawanna Matheny who is in St. Dominic  Hospital.  Remember her, her husband Jody and their children in your prayers.

Sister Vernita Whittington, Midway M. B. Church former First Lady is now battling cancer.  Remember her husband our former pastor transitioned into glory from his battle of cancer. Please remember her, their two children, Diamond and Tyrese, their granddaughter, her mother Helen Boyd Mann and her siblings in your prayers.

Scott Central Football team is still unbeaten, so therefore Midway is celebrating one of its coaches, Deacon Tevin Nickols and some players, Dejerrious Black and Zaharrie Kincaid. 

Midway M. B. Church will be feeding the Football team on October 26 at the Scott Central Cafeteria.  We are glad to help in whatever way we can to support the Scott Central Football Team.  Keep going strong players you are really doing well. 

Scott Central Jr. High Football team is also on a winning streak.  Terrence McClendon, Thomas McClendon, Jakoby Anderson, Jeremiah Lyles, Martavious Reed, Jeremiah Hicks, Dewayne Cox, Temarion Williams and Nate Hardy are on the Jr. High team.

Scott Central Jr. High will be battling for the tune of winning against Neshoba Central on next Monday night . Asking everyone to come out and support the Rebels whether it’s High School or Jr. High.  Your support of attendance will be greatly appreciated. 

Thomas and Dr. Locord Wilson enjoyed the company of Jonte and Dr. Tomika Wilson Greer and their two daughters, Jayla and Tamyra Greer of Houston, TX on the past weekend. They enjoyed the Jackson State University Game in which Jackson State won. They enjoyed a family meal at Zhgen Garden after the game. They met Delie Shepard, Charles McClendon, Billy Watts, Christina McDaniels, Camarey Brimlett, Kendayshia McDanield, Leslie Ross and Dejerrious Black at the restaurant.

Midway M. B. Church will host Octoberfest on October 27.  The circle of Prayer will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the walk following it.  The games will begin following the walk.  The announcement of winners will be at 1:00 p.m.

Midway M. B. Church Home Mission will again host a Trunk or Treat on October 31.  All children are invited to come and enjoy the many appetizing foods.
